Heard the one about the “Prosecco Smile”?

A story about the dreaded ‘Prosecco smile’ stopped the press. A British dentist warned that over-consumption of the Italian sparkling can cause chronic tooth decay and erode gums. Italians then accused the press of spreading fake news, deciding that British dentists were in the pay of ale brewing lobbyists. It became a thing, everywhere from the Telegraph to Metro, and was all over the Twittersphere.
